Mellow Orange Music (US) "Newest Mellow Orange team member, Berlin based german DJ and vinyl nerd
BeatPete, began djing and collecting a decade ago, and to this day, he's
dedicated to vinyl only. His crates include Hip Hop/ Instrumental Hip
Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Library Music,… all of which are not collecting
dust, but get spun on a regular.
For about 2 years now, BeatPete and co-founder Marian Tone have
been putting on the Backyard Joints. A party focusing on new and old
underground Hip Hop, the Arts of beat making as well as a healthy dose
of Jazz & Funk. The event gives Beatmakers from all over a platform
to present their craft at Panke in Berlin.
BeatPete drops free download mixes regularly on his Soundcloud
page and soon will release the first episode of his new mixtape series
called “Analog Affinities” through HHV, available on cassette."

Fredfades 'Remixes' vinyl version white label. Includes exclusive remixes.
For
this project Fredfades remixes nine of his favorite rap songs. Dense
layers of samples from hard to find records, crisp drums and ruthless
bass lines are some of the ingredients Fred uses to create new versions
of these Hip-Hop gems. Some of them seem to have come out edgier and
more interesting than the original songs. Legendary to some, obscure to
others, all the acapellas have been laced with the jazzyness Fades has
become known to represent. All beats via one were produced on the cult
status SP1200 machine (the Street Smartz beat was produced using the MPC
2000XL). The result is a wide range of super tight raps and the
distinct and consistent style of a young producer with an old soul. If
you appreciate timeless rap flows over some bold reinventions of the
"golden era sound", this is a must cop record!
For The People Like Us is the
latest journey into Klaus Layer's sound; a cross-section of his musical psyche. Like any true journey there is both the harsh and the calm, with beat structures and melodical backdrops ranging from the serene to the
straight-villainous, and a personal motive. These are defining beats
crafted atop the shoulders of Klaus' inspirations, and he's inviting the
like-minded to listen.
